Fading Stars

by Beautiful Chaos   Feb 16, 2011

Who thought we'd fall?
Brazenly streaking through the sky,
Memories of right and wrong,
Burning up in the atmosphere.

We were always meant to be shooting stars,
Failing wishes, lost dreams,
Plummeting to the earth,
Hope outliving love.

Jenn, this is beautiful. I love how you compared human to stars and made it sound believable, rational even. you took my breathe away for a moment =] The ending was my favorite, especially the last line.

A thought provoking piece, and it left me with contradicting feelings, almost, a sense of loss, hope, beauty and sadness.

These sad lines make me appreciate more my loved ones! Jenn it seems like you have a lot of buried emotions within you which are too painful and difficult to deal with :( Sending some cheer your way *hugs*
