The teacher

by Larry Chamberlin   Feb 16, 2011

Plaintiff cries arise in the lesson
there is fresh thinking transpiring;
but, this is new ground, there are no rails,
they just know they are going to fail.

You want intensely to right them,
to tweak their doubtful suppositions,
direct them, and to help them build
strong character, so they'll feel fulfilled.

Resist! Resist, amen, with all your heart.
Every step you take of theirs cripples them
in the end. Without falling and the pain,
how will they learn to get back up again?

    This is just amazing! I love the very huge impact that your ending left over me as a reader; despite how the end of the 1st stanza..has this conxn with what you said in your last!
