Set Free

by TheVampire   Feb 23, 2011

All I reached for was your love,
and everything was beautiful,
as it all fell into someplace,
it somehow turned into regretful.

My longing for this romance,
which lasted for greater year,
has once begun my cries of sorrow,
setting next to my past fears.

I tumble to the ground with great speed,
with no protection- I am bare,
and my bruises tell my pain,
"do not trust; only beware."

So these words are the only gift,
that has been brought to me,
I await the day that shall be pure,
and to forever set my heart free.
