Empty sky

by Shellaine shelli   Feb 27, 2011

The tears i daren't show,
in the razor they now glow.
the crimson blood,
the flowing tied...
it all changed the night i died.

Now i try to save myself from this self inflicted hell.
no one understands the mundane pain,
the instant relief as the razor hits my vein.

So i spend each day waiting for night,
waiting for a shooting star
to save my life...
i wait for the night,
when the lies of the sunlight go out of sight.
all i need is a wish to make this right.

i cry from the outside in,
the sky runs out of stars to mend my broken heart.
i pray for one more star,
one more chance
but am left with a shattered heart.

mascara running down my cheeks,
i realise now i am so suddenly weak.
with flowers in my hear,
the pain of losing you is too hard to bare.

The tears i daren't show,
in the razor they now glow.
the crimson blood,
the flowing tied...

all the stars that shined so bright
were destroyed to your delight...
this is where it all ends...
A broken heart i can never mend
and an empty sky...
the night i ended my life.

This tugs at my heart something serious, I can remember feeling like this at one point in time. A broken heart can do some much damage, especially when the person intends to. But I've learned that no one is worth the price of your life, there's always something else something better waiting for you. Brilliant work!
    Take care

I REALLY love this poem. Strong words, well written. I love the part where you are bidding your tears but they come out in your blood. Very deep

Such Emotion. So much suffering to ease one's pain. You had me at the beginning.
    Such creativity. Truly Amazing!
