Good pure love...(a poem to my daughter)

by Jessica R   Mar 5, 2011

When you look into her eyes
you cant help but to notice her agony and fear,
she's suffered a huge loss
thats made her wise beyond her years.
She's a beautiful young girl
to whom life has treated wrong and unfair,
she's paying the price of a debt so high
lead to believe that no one else cared.
Behind the eyes of this child
lies a story yet to be told.
one that uncovers heartache and tears
and let your fears begin to unfold.
She was left all alone at a very young age
to raise and protect siblings yet younger then her
she tried so hard to prepare herself
but at times she wasnt too sure.
She was affraid and didnt know what to do
but she knew she had to stay stong,
so she prayed on her knees nightly
wondering at times what did she do so wrong.
But someone forgot to tell her
that it was never her fault, she was not to blame
but to her it really didnt matter
because she still endured the pain.
SAo now she walks among a cold and lonley road
praying things will someday get better,
holding on tight to what little faith she has left
in hopes that her family will soon be together.
She deserves to know that she is an angel
that she is a gift from the heavens above,
and for all that she has given
she will recieve a lifetime of good pure love...
