Perfect Love

by athena18   Mar 9, 2011

I saw You there
You're hurt because of me;
I told You to give up
But You just stared and smiled.

You said You love me,
You love me more than Your life,
You were crucified,
You died.

I take millions of steps away from You,
I do things You don't want me to do,
I push You away,
I do things my own way.

But why Father?
In all that I've done,
Despite my imperfections,
We're still kneel-down apart.

Amazing, unconditional love,
You saved me
When I am down, You show me what's up above
And when I frown,
You give me reasons to laugh.

You are perfect, Father,
You're a perfect friend,
You're everything to me
You're a perfect love.
