I heart New York... thanks for the memories

Opening my eyes to your face
So the dream has ended...
Lips touching eager lips
Frantic hands that can't remain still
With every gasp and moan
And while words with no meaning
Are being yelled across the universe
My choice of words for her reaction to the night
Were a bit dull
So she fixed herself
Smiling as she walked out the door
The pleasure was swift
But unlike my other instances
I could not compare
She took a fragment of me when she left
Just as I stole a piece of her
The shower numbed me, feelings erased
My face was frozen as i recollected the last half an hour of my life
I'll never see her again, although I'll think about her for as long as i can
The setting sun starts the end of time
The moon shines a bit brighter tonight for me
Sympathizing perhaps it pity's a fool like myself
The stars are laughing, for they have witnessed my every error
My notebook lays there in the same spot it has been for 5 years
I told myself I'd never write about these things again
Yet the smell of ink and lead never fade or dissipate
And so I contribute to the madness once again...

----This notes name was inspired by a conversation i had with my friend although the poem itself means nothing about our convo i like the title ^__^------
