Your Mountain

by PinkyPrincess   Mar 11, 2011

I climbed your mountain
reached so close to the tip,
I raised my arm so you could pull me up
Instead, you push me down

I'm falling - falling
can't seem to grasp the fact
that you no longer want me
and I disappear, farther away

With no sense of existence,
my body continues to fall
I've been disconnected from you
and can't survive on my own

You couldn't bare the distance
so you pushed me away
I fight for my life and try to hold on
but I can't hold on to something - that no longer exists.

I loved the analogy of the mountain, it was brilliant!! It made this poem very real and love the emotion in it as well. Great job! :)

Being pushed of a mountain really is a good example of being pushed away by someone. And all the while your falling thinking about why they don't want you, what did you do? I've been through this as well and it really is heart breaking. But after you fall, you'll still be alive. And what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!
    Nice job!
