Did God ever sleep?

Was He asleep
When sick people
Prayed to be healed
But suddenly,
They died?

Was He asleep
When seas growled
And covered the earth?

Was He asleep
When there were wars
All over the globe,
And people were fighting?

Was He asleep
When rains became storms
And mountains became mud,
And fields became oceans?

Was it God that really sleeps?
Or the ever not-changing world?
