Broken Inside

by Emily Strickland   Jun 20, 2004

Her Smile Slowly Fades
As A Tear Falls From Her Eye
She Knows That Her Life
Is Nothing But A Lie

The Smile And Laughter
Are Nothing But Fake
To Be Put On This Earth
Must Have Been A Mistake

No One In Her Life
Really Seems To Care
They Go Throughout Their Day
Hardly Noticing Shes There

Everyday Is A Nightmare
As Time Slowly Passes By
Sitting In Her Room
With Nothing To Do But Cry

You Can Read It On Her Face
You Can See It In Her Eyes
But No One Ever Sees
That She Is Broken Inside

Alone In This World
With No Where To Go
Filled With All This Sadness
That No One Shall Ever Know

Loved it, I gave it a (5), if the scale went any higher, it'd be at the top. That poem rocked. I'm definately going to have to read some more of your poems. Keep writing & good luck!
