The Listener

Its Funny How You Sit
All Comfortable In Your Chair
Listening To My Life's Story
Acting Like You Care

I Spill Out My Heart
You Sit With The Same Expression
I Tell You Of All The Hurt
My Whole Life's Confession

You Have No Idea Though
How It Must Really Feel
To Go Throughout Life Hurting
But Still You Have To Deal

Pouring Out All These Emotions
You Cant Possibly Know
Waiting Until You Finally
Say Its Time For Me To Go

I Finish And I Look At You
Slowly I Begin To Cry
We Sit There For A Moment
Staring Eye To Eye

You Finish Your Notes
Then You Stand Up And Say
Sorry Thats All The Time
We Have For Today
