Sin

by Riser   Mar 17, 2011

I kissed your lips,
But you pushed me away.
I turned to leave,
But u begged me to stay.

I remember screaming at you,
Asking what u wanted from me.
I told u to take me as I am,
Or watch me as I leave.

U told me our love was a sin,
But baby love is love.
There's no way it could be wrong,
No way it can't be enough.

But apparently it wasn't enough,
Not enough for you.
You walked right out of my life,
Claiming "it's what u had to do"

So years later I'm still standing here,
Waiting for you to return.
And I'll continue waiting,
I guess I still have alot to learn.

But I can't seem to open up,
And let love in.
Because in my head I hear ur voice,
"your love is a sin"
.

I liked the poem, and how real that emotion is in relationships. The feelings are naturaly flowing. You have real nice talent, please keep writing. :)
