As far back as i can remember
I've suffered great agony and pain,
I've been decieved and betrayed
I've cried countless tears in vane.
My heart has been broken
It's been destroyed and left for dead,
my dreams have all been shattered
because of the lies someone once said.
I;ve never known happiness
every smile i've ever worn was just pretend.
all i've known are broken promises
the cause of a heart to never mend.
I know it sounds depressing and sad,
that's because it really is,
that is why i tell you my story
it's pretty much like this.
But through all the pain and endless tears
still i manage to stand firm and tall,
but that's because along the way i've learned
to dust myself off after every fall.
