I see your face

by padboots   Mar 22, 2011

Silent, tranquil beauty. I see your face.
Your gaze is subtle, yet straight to the heart -
face to face, fluently, you leave me unguarded.
Beauty, in an inanimate expression.
Forgive me if I stare.

Your lips -split between a smile-
almost whisper your thoughts.
What is this growing fervency in me?
Your hair falls freely across your face-
the breeze that gently sweeps you, I cannot grasp.
In me, my heart beats.. conflicted.
Your eyes -the essence of my fixation-
reflect an unspoken attraction, but for whom?
Around us the crowd dissipates,
(I should take my leave..) yet I am still.
Your attention drifts absently, elsewhere-
you don't seem to mind.

In a moment, you'll turn to look at me.
Eyes colored with the perfect shade of brown,
you are simply beautiful.
My stop approaches, oddly it is I, watching you leave.
Perhaps you felt as strangely as I did.
Perchance, this poem you've already written.
You are all I really want to understand.

(scene of a girl on the train)

Wow, this was absolutely brilliant! You've painted the picture of this girl perfectly. I can definitely see her beauty through your words. I like the flow, how it started off pretty smooth, but got kinda jumpy in a sense, when you were completely fixated on her. I'm surprised that this hasn't gotten more comments or votes. Well, I thought this was brilliant. Much enjoyed!
    Take care
