Casting Charms

by sibyllene   Apr 3, 2011

I want to make worlds
in miniature,
tiny and perfect as
forget-me-nots showing their
skycolors
as drops in mossy woods

worlds to fit in whorls of seashells
and the small hollow behind your ear,
where your jaw dips into your neck, where
the woodsmoke smell pools just
for me to kiss

worlds that are lovely
and could be scooped up
by acorn caps and swallowed by
sparrows, that are pristine and
minuscule, that could be slipped into
pockets or lemonades, that could be
worn like talismans around your neck, that
are seed-like and leaf-like and
have not one speck of
ugliness in them

There has got to be more spunk in that peom you have got to feel it inside of you work harder. Put something deeper in that peom make it sound realistic if you know what i mean.

This is one of those poems that is just fun to read over and over. The words have a playfulness to them and they conjure up all sorts of fragrant imagery.

    Cold shivers.

This poem made me want to experience natural beauty. It made a lot of feelings well up in me. Like always, your words have stolen my heart.

    Always write.

Stop being such a goddamn poet! Love your work - I'm your biggest fan ;) Don't know how you come up with such personal, perfect touches, flow, and imagery... but I freaking love it. Don't stop, can't stop, won't stop.

    Too much caffeine. Bye now.
