My brothers

by Jesse Barros   Apr 5, 2011

My boys are my brothers
without the aid of my father and my mother.
They don't bounce when the bullets fly.
They stand up straight when my enemies drive by.
Many are called friends;
Fewer are called brothers -
A homey who gives his life for another.

    This reminds me of the Marine Corps. You are brothers and will always stand together even when shit hits the fan and bullets are coming at you. Stand together and return fire, but never leave a brother behind. Good write.
