Springtime

by Michael D Nalley   Apr 5, 2011

After winter dies, born is spring
Renewing the life of everything

The grass grows as the green towers
In the trees over the flowers
Mother nature has these powers
Many a free feathered bird sings,
As if to rise on angels wings

April showers, snows are fewer
Then comes what may make skies bluer
All under the sun seems newer
Grateful for what this season brings

The seasons come and then they go
Young hearts beat, but they all must know
Parental love that makes them grow
Is the reason it's happening

I wished I had know you already posted this zejel. I would like to have nominated it. (my bad, it deserved to be seen.) You should have included the (zejel) at the end of the title. You done the form justice and I am proud of you for taking on the challenge and doing it so well.
    Excellent Job!

    Thanks,

    Michael......what a beautiful springtime poem.

I can imagine the trees and fields of green grass and the singing birds. All the newly born babies bringing their heads out of their nests :) Spring is a time for rebirth a new beginning and a time for love to blossom. Great imagery.
    Excellent job!
    Take care
