Gone With The Wind

Our love was like oxygen hanging
from open lips after a tender
kiss... so pure and untouched.

We loved like Gods hiding
in the stars of another universe...
We were invincible.
We were ignorant.
We are no more...

I would have followed
you anywhere if you knew
how deeply the love inside
me flowed. Deeper than
The Nile or the Amazon.
I knew I was meant to be
a part of you since our
language as humans began.

How is it possible that you hit
me like a hurricane with it's many
imperfections to simply leave me
like a gentle sea breeze?

I'll be waiting for you to return

    I found this to be right on the money when it comes to young love. We're so naive and oblivious to everything and everyone else, we truly feel that at 17 we know love better than anyone else. I'm not sure if people truly want to be with there first love forever or if they just don't want anybody else to be with them forever? I'm going to write that down....thats great, like this poem :) 5/5 well done!

    It's wonderful the flow is flawless and smooth.. but the stanza that really got me is the last stanza,i love how you end it. I can say that i can somehow relate myself with the emotions.
