Dreams To Wish Goodnight

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 8, 2011

And I trace my scarred fingers
across a heaven's river of endless
murmuring, such muse to linger on.
My heart anticipates, slows it burden
to listen for more than a beat.
These clouds far away from reality
are a memory treaded on once,
now little wanderers in thoughts.
I don't want to forget your face
illuminated beneath moon paintings.
Not this time, I will not sleep
until my eyes are dedicated
to everything you continue to be.
If I am but a single verse,
will my sincerity reach you
at a warring hour?
Stay strong in these final longings
when we are reawakened by
what we may not fully understand,
but the angels make us feel
there is more passion between
silence and sleep willows.
Do not forget our threads
and promises,
we will meet again
among the take off
of songbirds in Love.
