A lot of people would choose to find the light than stay in the dark. I love how you turned things around here. I think this is a metaphor..? Perhaps running away from love, and you'd rather be hated than hurt.? or maybe you'd rather be ignored than be the center of attention where everyone will only notice every mistake you make..
