Go Away!

by Adriana   Apr 19, 2011

Fabricated truths
seep beneath the rubble
In the mirror a girl
ugly even to it's owner

An uncontrollable destiny
pain walks on all fours
When will it go away?
When will things be ok?

Skewed vision on life
how can you ever be happy?
Those who should protect you
brand you with heated stares

A friend found only in you
Sweet crimson comfort
When will it go away?
When will things be ok?

I find the line "pain walks on all fours" very intriguing... personified pain, I suppose it makes me think of hell hounds. I wish you had carried on with that more, in fact, I think a few more descriptive or metaphorical lines would be nice. But that's my take.

I certainly hope you don't feel like this all the time. I know the burden and the release, but just remember that this is not forever, and there is so much available to you in the world, so don't give up hope. :)

Wow, this was so heart wrenching. It's hard for a person to find beauty in themselves when people closest to them cast down hateful stares.

    "When will it go away?
    When will things be ok?"
^I appreciated the repitition of these lines, I felt it gave great depth.

    Brilliant work my friend!
    Take care
