Damn girl! What a beautiful piece...
The tone of this poem... Made me invasion a grown woman sitting, drinking her coffeee lost in thoughts of her childhood...writing in her notebook...as tears scroll down her face ...weird ah?
This kind of reminds me of Nor's poem of last week....kinda have the same theme going on...
Aah,mel....there are so much creative lines in this poem ..I'm like.. Who even thinks of things that way?:/
You are brilliant! The opening really pulled me in.... The poem was so good I'm like why did it have to come to an end -_- I could've keep on reading for ages.
As always you never fail to amaze me... This was my favorite part..

Did you ever have a tea party
    that was filled with
    so much madness,
    that you suddenly decided
    you'd prefer chocolate milk?
    ^
    Amazingly well thought!

I LOVE this. It has a touch of hilarity but something so much more - very deep and interesting here. I loved it.

I love the whole feel of this piece, and thought the opening lines laid out what you wanted to say perfectly, and each stanza went beautifully with the next. I love that it was based around Alice in Wonderland - you added so many pieces here that made so much sense to both the fairytale and the real world.

This is a very deep and thought provoking piece, one I definitely hope people read more than once to truly get the feel of this poem.

Omg wow.. Words cannot describe how this made me feel. This is absolutely amazing.. The imaginary, the words, the stages. I like how you laid this one out and certian words you used like 'bite' I've never read a piece like this before not one that was so stricking... It's sad but it's incredible.. Well done.

Mel, this has been in my favorites for a long time now, from when you posted it actually, but I never got round to commenting.

I absolutely frigging LOVE this. This has to be -the- most beautiful and spectecular write that I have seen by you so far, and the whole piece speaks volumes to me.

Sometimes, when I read your work, the way I interpretate them may not (well, probably not actually) be the way you meant them, and I find myself agreeing with Britt because of this, that I find your work beautiful but I don't always understand it.

Of course that would be because you prefer to write in metaphor/secrets etc so that while you can post your work, the meanings can remain private..that being said, regardless of everything I have just mentioned, I have to say that this poem, to me, speaks volumes of melancholy, and ..heartbreak? Yes, that's how I'm choosing to read this. And sod you if I'm wrong :D

"Did you ever have a tea party
    that was filled with
    so much madness,
    that you suddenly decided
    you'd prefer chocolate milk?"

^^This has to be my favourite stanza..not just of this piece, but of everything you have ever written. It's stunning. So beautiful and touching, and I love the subtle sarcasm mixed with the sadness, it's such an interesting contrast.

I also adore the references to Alice in Wonderland here (Surely I must have interpretated that right? Haha!) it really brings me back to my childhood, but because of the way you wrote it, it's..going back into childhood,..but without the innocence of childhood, if that makes sense? And that again makes for one very hard hitting contrast in my emotions when reading.

    I just LOVE this.
