The Middle of the End

by JaM   Apr 22, 2011

My approach is cautious, even though open,
Responding in unusual ways with you,
Deciphering the cause for this behavior,
Attempting to determine the truth.

Though sought, no explanation achieved,
Unable to clarify these reactions,
Reluctant to allow you through,
Assessing my fears combined with attraction.

Desires exist to gain further knowledge,
For your qualities are traits are admired,
Despite curiousity, wonder lingers inside,
Will this result in further being tired?

Regardless, I remain eager to converse,
Intrigued by the fuel to your soul,
Living by the words; it is what it is,
Patiently awaiting time to take it's toll.
