Daybreak (Double Etheree)

by Mr. Darcy   Apr 23, 2011

A
Chorus
Is brewing.
Feel the latent
Anticipation
As the dawn orchestra
Manoeuvres and warms itself.
Slate drifts away as beaks' prepare
To rejoice the breaking morning wave,
Like a sunburst the crest flares with bird song,

Painting the air with honey harmonies.
Feathered A cappella arrangements
Infuse the heavens with beauty.
Swirling rainbows develop
Into daydreams of light
Blinking, flitting eyes
Fill with plumage.
A Blackbird
Sweetly
Sings.

Well I have to admit you are a better poet then me. This poem was nicely worded and I liked the structure of it. It flowed good from start to end.

    I gave it a 5/5

Michael, you sure done old Etheree Taylor Armstrong proud with this poem. :)

This type of form is easy to write, but very difficult to write well. But you nailed it. You really kept my interest with your colorful and feathery portrait of daybreak, as each line flowed seamlessly into the next.

    Nice work!!

    Michael,

Sometimes, for a short period of time, we get to see the world through someone else's eyes. I don't mean it in a n intellectual way, but reading it and sensing how the other person feels about life as a whole.

This is how it went when I read your verse. In spite of all things that happened in your life, your spirit remained unbroken. You are such a beautiful, positive human being an dit shines form your words, how you are in admiration of the wonders that surround us. the reason I can see it this clearly is because we are the same, they did not break me either and nothing ever will..and I know you are the same.

I am so proud of you, to be your friend:)
