Angel In My Life (Acrostic)

by Meena Krish   Apr 23, 2011

A bundle of innocence came into my life
Nestled tenderly by my side
Gentleness speaks in his touch
Earthly being small and kind,
Life is precious his presence reminds

In him I see countless joys
Never knowing the pain of loss for I have my boy

Mother he calls making me shine
Young or old this baby will always be mine

Love of his vanquishes my laments
I thank God for this special present
Forever this cherub holds in me a special place
Enjoying his every little mile and embrace

This took me back in time.....What a special time that is when our children are born. Your piece is filled with so much feeling of what a Mother feels for her babies.
    Beautiful Acrostic.
    Excellent job!

Absolutely wonderful. i have no children of my own, but i want some when the time (and person) is right. every line was heart felt and really enjoyed this. i added it to my favorites, gave it 5/5 and nominated into the weekly contest. i went back to read it, and then i noticed it was an acrostic, which made it all the more impressive in my opinion.

    nicely done :)

A very special poem that can only make one feel loved and special and bring a smile to the face. Your words are heart filled and can so easily be understood with the way you describe how this person makes you feel. The poem itself was really nice. It had a good flow and the rhyming was good as well although there are parts of the rhyming that seemed force. But in the end is getting your emotions out and you did a wonderful job with that.

In all, I love the way you tell this story and how you keep the mood of the poem so cheerful and happy. I can see the love so easily that you are writing down and trying to describe it. So before I continue on forever and ever, just let me say that this poem really touched me and I'm sure its touched those who have loved ones in their arms or had loved ones. Great job and keep writing.
