The dalliance of Delia

by Michael D Nalley   Apr 25, 2011

The dalliance of Delia did lead to her demise.
She is buried in a shallow grave never more to rise.
"Oh Jailer oh jailer you know I cannot sleep.
I know that what I planted, one day I will reap

*Inspirired by Johnny Cash's "Delia's Gone"

I don't usually give out 5's for poems that are extremely short, but I love the message in this piece and the truth of it. I think we all do things we know we shouldn't do because it may come back to haunt us, but it's almost like an excitement thing where we feel we need to. We regret it though when we finally get caught thats for sure. Excellent job 5/5
