RIP Civilization

by Dark Secrets   Apr 26, 2011

Like shattered glass all pain falls
Upon my chest into the flesh
Punctured lungs release all air
Acid leaks to breathless lungs

The dark rooms' walls close in
The universe is a tiny lemon
As sour and as small as it is
With thick, sticky walls of grey

This is the feeling of being helpless
Screams are silenced by stubby fingers
And eyes are blind to all that is true
When life loses taste and all is white

Stained with scarlet dreams of sacrifice
All love and support bound with chains
All signs of humanity absorbed
By the sponge of the devils greed

We live in the shadow of tyranny
Expected to call it our home
Forced to love what we despise
When love has never been by force

Shall all evil be cast into oblivion?
Or will civilization be the victim?

This was really deep and meaningful. It was worded so everyone understands and can contemplate just what it means. Excellent job and great theme
