We have all loved someone,
Watched them walk out on us.
Given up hope, said I’m done.
But so few of us stick to what we say.

We have all felt pain,
Felt the emptiness,
Walked out in the rain,
Not able to think beyond.

What we feel today,
How much it hurts,
Not knowing what to say,
Only to give a second chance.

We have all felt abused,
Felt truly unappreciated,
Some come out bruised,
But tomorrow does come,

Only to continue,
The same relationship,
Not knowing what to do
Searching for happiness.
