The Maze We Made

by Jenna Bella Oldridge   Apr 29, 2011

You use to be the best thing about me now you are the worst
The more I think about it the more it feels like a curse
If only time had, had the answers
If only life was fair
Maybe we would possess the power to actually still care
But as it is we lack feeling
Lost in mutual disregard
We could have had it easy
But instead we played it hard
Now we have to leave it and go our separate ways
We have to find our way out from this maze we made

I think this piece would be better if you put it into a form like a cinquain or a rictameter. But I felt your pain very deeply in this piece. Your words speak what you're trying to hide inside. Great work dear and I loved the title. Keep it up. -Nik

I adore this. Really well written and I like the build up from beginning to end. It sounds sad and like there's a little bit of frustration there but I could sense the deep feelings amongst the anguish. Brilliant.
