Without You (Lyrics)

by Inside the Liar   Apr 29, 2011

Oh, I don't need you to make
I don't need you to make my make-up run for me
I'm doing well enough at it on my own - without you.
And I don't need you to tell me
No, I don't need you to tell me all of my faults.
Can't you see me pointing them out to myself without you?

Chorus:
I'd never admit it where you could hear
But I've noticed your absence all along
My days seem emptier, somehow, without you.
I'll never give in, I'll live in fear
Pretending your absence makes me strong - er
But my days seem colder
Colder, without you.

I don't need you to watch
I don't need you to watch me in my breakdown
Don't you see there is no beauty to be found there without you?
And I don't need you to guide
I don't need you to guide me along in life.
I'm stumbling off the path just fine without you.

Chorus:
I'd never admit it where you could hear
But I've noticed your absence all along
My days seem emptier, somehow, without you.
I'll never give in, I'll live in fear
Pretending your absence makes me strong - er
But my days seem colder
Colder, without you.

I don't need you to call
I don't need you to call me to your side and want me.
'Cause now I'm here just trying to stay upright without you.
And I don't expect
Oh, I never expected you to love me.
Darling, it's easier for me to not love me without you.

Chorus:
I'd never admit it where you could hear
But I've noticed your absence all along
My days seem emptier, somehow, without you.
I'll never give in, I'll live in fear
Pretending your absence makes me strong - er
But my days seem colder
Colder, without you.

Last Chorus:
Oh, I'll never admit it when you're in sight
But you leaving shot straight down to the heart.
My days seem emptier, somehow, without you.
Giving in would mean finally admitting that all along you've been right
And that with you gone I've crashed and fallen apart.
And still my days seem colder.
My days just grow colder
Always colder without you.

I enjoyed this, you should totally post the chords. I'm a musician and love to hear other peoples work.

I especially liked the last chorus, It was sad but made a powerful point. Well written.
