Wow Dib. This was deep.
I really, really loved this poem.
The lines that really jumped out at me were:
"I have been standing 'neath the stars for too long,
holding on to lies, too strong.
That's just fear."

I relate to this so well, as you know. It's not good to hold on to lies.
The only reason I do, well, you know why...
And fear prevents you from letting the lies go.

I love tha rain and stars and you just reminded me why :)

Reading this makes me feel .... wishful, wondering, and maybe a bit small. The vast expanse of the sky , rain and cloud bring us to a state of depression at times and yet, when the rain stops the sun appears how clean and fresh it all is. Same with our lives, the rain that falls only refreshes
