Happiness

by White Orchid   May 7, 2011

A touch brings back a memory
Letting my mind wander
Thought it was only history
That moment I began to ponder

Emotions rushing in
Not wanting to linger
Showing a silly grin
Staring in disbelief

What happens next
Of this I am unaware
Memories my mind reflects
Creating a blank stare

Learning not to be too naive
I have become a tangled mess
In this web I continue to weave
Hoping for much success

Good things will arrive
To those who patiently wait
Within myself feelings derive
My own happiness I can create

So true. The last stanzasay it all:
    Good things will arrive
    To those who patiently wait
    Within myself feelings derive
My own happiness I can create

My perspective is slightly different - We would not realize what is happiness until we learn how to make other happy, selflessly. It is in others happiness (near & dear included) that we will find our happiness.
    Great write.

Too true. You are the only person who gets to decide how you feel.

A sweet write, very good vocabulary. 5/5
