Dying Thoughts

by Jad   May 8, 2011

These words have become hurt
as I lose feelings in my heart,
watching the reflection fall apart.

This stagnant isolation of pain
is rotting away my walls of illusion,
killing me each day
burying me alive
yet what can I say
when I'm already dead inside.

Your words of comfort are songs,
songs of false consolation for pain
you know nothing of.

For how long have I endured this wrong?

So I'm dying inside
as I cut off the veins to my heart
waiting for the end.

This write has such a deep depth of sadness
to it and as I read it, it sounded more like a
sad song which rhymed so perfectly with
sentimental values..the ending just touched me..nicely penned..take care.

Austin, this is another example of how you are growing as a poet. Somewhat different that your other work. Sadness abounds in this write. Such feelings and emotions come forth as you described how words from a lover or that is what I took from it, are slowing killing the feelings in your heart, making you feel dead inside. If this were a true situation, I would say, you don't need someone like that in your life, someone we love should not cause this to happen, they should lift us up with their words. Well done.
