You hold me up

by Miss Lonely Teacher   May 11, 2011

You've put me on this pedistol
so high above what's real.
I'm walking on your tightrope
no place to stop and kneal.

looking down below this perch
I see the steep fall.
if I topple as you watch
I know i'll lose it all.

you've held me up so high above
that if i fall i'll shatter our love

and break into a million useless pieces
