This beauty before me... this gift from god...
She stood up to me... eye to eye...
Her wit implored me... i had to try...
Fastballs coming.. left and right...
My charm in overdrive... i had to fight...
The challenge.. tremendous... A momentous occasion...
Her verbal assault.. it left an abrasion...
On my soul.. my heart and my pride...
This woman before me... she kept to my stride...
Pushing and pulling.. no holds barred...
Heads began rolling.. lives they were scarred...
The brutality in all... she crushed everyone...
Then turned to me... as if i would run...
As i stood there... gazing.. entranced..
She remembered... down deep...
it was me.. she had glanced...
And then.. she smiled...
