A Reverie

by Ramblings of an ageing Kid   May 16, 2011

A Reverie ... soon to never whisper in my head
I wish my mind would align there with the dead
And the broken mantras by warlocks left unread
It is in my head

Love ... is a need, not a creed for all I've cared
Stemming from a lustful anger left unbeared
Yet you still pound you sinful heart, you never dared
I ceased to stare

Whatever you touch, you turn blue
Lives you drained, the smiles you fainted all to gloom
Rise to kill and yield your corpses as you scream
You wish to remit the curse that let you be

And it was all a reverie
It was all a reverie

*This was my favorite part. It was worder perfectly. The way you speak of this person is so well expressed. Love the metaphors and how subtle they are. Very nice work. -Nik
