A Hopeful Prayer

by Ramblings of an ageing Kid   May 17, 2011

Oh Dear Lord, oh so graceful oh so merciful
How I wish to raise my hands in a hopeful prayer
But both my hands are gone to rust

Oh Dear Lord, forgive all my sins
My forehead are blackened with a blasphemed touch
With no one around but you my heart trusts

Symphonies are played to cease my pain
They halt my mind to think but to naught
I curse all my flaws and blame it on the rain
Soaked in agony of my devious Lust

Inside it is thought that I could see the light
But men are fearful to say but gems
You see all right through me, as my death will loom
Tell me what you see in me, and lay my mind to rest

Oh Dear Lord, I know you are listening
I beg you; don't shut my lights off
Until the day I pay my dues to you
And forever end the thrust

I liked the devotion and the faithfulness!
Breathtaking.. Ya Rab, we'll always say!
