The Dreaming Tree

by Good Enough   May 19, 2011

Believe me when I say I grow enchanted things
To miracle carnations to deathly roses
But the one thing that has people wondering
Is the the dramming tree I planted years ago

So many wonderer's come to me asking, pleading
To take the chance of seeing and even touching
What lies in the garden of truth and heartache
They want their dreams to be open by this

Many have walked away in disappointment
When I say that it isn't what they want
And it will bring nothing more than guilt
While others I must say, have persisted.

The once that insisted in seeing the tree
To the point where their pleads turned to sorrow
I took them back to the tree and let them gaze
Some would stay for hours soaking in the truths

Others, left in more disappointment and shame
And those that left I knew, did not need the tree
Because they could not open their eyes
To see what is and what isn't anymore

But for those who stayed and pondered
With such amazement never said a single word
Just stayed beneath that dreaming tree
Trying to fix what can't be fixed
