Lay My Heart Down~

by Poet on the Piano   May 20, 2011

Keep my legs
from shaking against
each other,
letting friction close
this dull pounding
of unrest.

My skin turns warm,
lighter,
at the dream of you here...
invisible shields.

All too soon I want
danger, your protection
that ignites a soul's
purpose and wandering.

Take me from
frail, human lifelines
and surround me into
everything consisting
of you alone.

Massage my shocked,
electric skin,
let it ripple and fall
amongst your musk,
masculine divinity...
encapturing me
with a myriad of senses,
betrothal.

Interlock the chill
that takes our breath,
and lay me into you.

Make my heart tranquil,
yet wild for your curse...
every addiction, each
obsession
requires no answer
from my heart's
moaning.

Pulse within me,
never come undone
from knotted hair
and burning eyes.

Stay within me
to satisfy our thunder...
let a hurricane find
resting place,
here in our dwelling.
