Unrestrained

by fallenangel   May 21, 2011

As I stand here,
I can feel droplets on my incongruous skin
Yet my eyes have shown no evidence of rain,
of sadness

As I stand here trying to find deeper meaning
of the connection
between my emotions and the rain
The world stops...
and it seems I no longer prevail my emotions

I now harmonize to someone Else's tune
The once contented
subsumed melody is now a
naked, deathly chant-Unrestrained by human
The more misleading it feels to be no longer in charge
The more out of place I seem to be in the
Endless disarray
called,
Life

You said a lot in just a simple poem. I liked the imagery as well. I thought this was very well done.

I like this poem because of just how vivid it sounded, sorry if it sounds cliche, but the imagery was good. =)
