I still remember that day
I had no clue what to say
My hands were shaking in fear
And i was holding your picture oh so near
It was the 16th our old anniversary date
The time was at night, pretty late
I took your hand in mine and got on one knee
I told you how i felt about you then asked you "Will you go out with me"
It took a long time to answer so i started to get scared
My friends told me its alright if she loves you she will be there
I sat their just thinking how much we are meant to be
And just praying you would say yes to me
I had all my friends wondering and asking me
What did she say was she ready
I said i don't know because she hasn't answered yet
They would say no she wont but if she says no it will be something she will regret
Finally you started to type
You said of course and that you had been waiting all night
I held you close and kissed your cheek
I was so happy you said yes to me
All night long i had a smile on my face
A smile so big nothing could replace
Nothing could wipe this smile away
Because you were finally mine and here to stay
Finally in the middle of the night
My hands started shaking and my face was alright
My heart started to beating for you again
And finally you were more than just my best friend
I will always remember this night
