Ode to mother

by Rhi   May 23, 2011

She has softest hair, of shimmering black
Skin pale as chalk, and eyes green as the grass,
She loves us forever, won't take it back,
To choose any other, I think we'll pass.
She is our mother, so let it be known,
We return her love we hope that she knows,
That if we cant say it, it will be shown,
In some way or other our love does grow.
For she is our mother and she taught us
Love respect and peace, should conquer the soul,
Not vile stuff and evil she taught it thus,
To love one another, should be a goal.

Today is her birthday, she should enjoy,
That which we hope brings her the greatest joy.
