She ran away screaming
not a word said
and time stood still
they say this girl was out to kill
it was not murder she was after
suicide instead
they tied her up and isolated her in a box cold and smooth
taking your life is not approved in any state
so she lived a sad loveless life full of hate
the chains she wore were to heavy to get away
she tried cutting and starving in the pouring rain
they fixed her up and told her no more games
they numbed her up with pills so she wouldn't feel the pain
it always seemed there efforts were in vain
no matter what she slipped back to her old ways
till one day they gave up and lifted her chains
and watched as she quickly went insane
she ran away screaming
what a pity what a shame
