Intertwined

by Megan   May 27, 2011

As I lay my head on your shoulder,
The world on the outside
Is forever growing colder.
But your arms around me
Is what keeps me warm;
A kiss on the cheek
And a squeeze around the middle.
Look up into your eyes
And see the safety of your heart

Intertwined.
Yours and mine.
If I'm not in love now,
Then love I'll never find.
And there's no such thing
As once upon a time,
Or happily ever after,
But in the back of my mind
I see you, I see me,
I see both our lives combined,
Intertwined.

When you lye down right beside me,
I reach for your hand,
And it's right where it should be.
So I move in closer,
I'm back in your arms
With a kiss on the forehead
And a poke in the side,
You make me laugh
And cause our legs to become

Intertwined.
Yours and mine.
If I'm not in love now,
Then love I'll never find.
And there's no such thing
As once upon a time,
Or happily ever after,
But in the back of my mind
I see you, I see me,
I see both our lives combined,
Intertwined.

It's so hard to be happy
With the stress in my life,
But you come along
And you make it all right:
A simple hello
And a hug goodbye
Is all that you need
To show that you're mine.

And, baby, I'm yours;
I have been all the time.
Just keep being you
And forever our love
Will survive.

Intertwined.
Yours and mine.
If I'm not in love now,
Then love I'll never find.
And there's no such thing
As once upon a time,
Or happily ever after,
But in the back of my mind
I see you, I see me,
I see both our lives combined,
Intertwined.
