The cry of the forest
echoes in silence
the pain of the trees
caused by unforeseen violence

Oh goddess,
help them see
that this path
is not meant to be

the shadows fall on the ground
she cries at the sight
"why can't they see
the beauty of your light?"

she kneels at the broken stump
and hums softly
"please end this ignorance
and end this folly..."
