Come Find Me

by Thomas Pender   May 30, 2011

Come find me
when all your troubles are done
and all the judges of life have faced away
Seek you then the bowers of home and love
and Rills flowing over golden stones
There where the last elms wave
and a crepescular slanting of sunbeams
illuminate my soul
come find me

Come find me
Down the slopes of sacred hills
where grass and blazing flowers dance
to the tune of sea borne breezes
Take you blossoms as you will
savouring the colours of your life
Peer close to wood and earth and stone
in the hightened light of longing
come find me

Come find me
by the lakeshore ripples shining
where birds wheel a majesty of flight
with clear songs of ardent beauty
Speak you words of long sorrow
for all of Nature's beauty lost
Earth Mother's blessing tarnished
by cold uncaring whim
come find me

Come find me
where the moon curves through a broken arch
in the wake of Winter's dark flight
where a taste of Spring crouches
Feel you the slow hard turning
from Death to Resurrection
here transfixed by the warm reward
of the long journey's end
come find me
