Mortal Love

by XxPr3eTyScArZxX   May 30, 2011

I want no angel, supernatural being
You’re human
Fragile
Breaking and worn
Mortal love that I have never known

Your time is short, your clock it ticks
Precious flower, fading
Even as it blooms
To alluring perfection

Crimson flowing, flow no more
Eyes so fierce, leave their last tears
A heart so unlike mine of stone
Silenced oh so long ago
Beats and beats until it slows

Fragile
Broken
Lost and worn
Human love, just barely sworn
The curse of one so cold
To lose thy mortal love , just as a heart is stole
