Emergence

Emergence
Ashraf Al Deen
The moment of emergence is a painful joy,
Each morning reminds me of this truth.
During every sunrise a kind of resonance
Of an still and eerie feeling of happiness
Spreads a shadow on whole of my heart,
Sets out to tour the earth on the cart of light
Giving out a light melody of Tung-Tang sound
From the unseen hand of a Baul
Holding a two-stringed instrument;
Oh! The tour of a bohemian Baul.
Everything keeps wrapping on those singing strings
Starting from the fine feelings oozing out of my heart
Freedom of my soul and its joy
Pain stricken mind and understanding
Leaving the house and shelter opening my self to sing,
Everything wraps.
That's why total period of emergence
Keeps me covered with a feeling of sadness,
The way the moon-lit night under the blanket of mist
keeps itself awake with a whimper of stillness.
