The Fading Colour

The Fading Color
Ashraf Al Deen
The late afternoon sun was fading away,
The color was so soothing as if
Some liquid from a cup filled with orange juice
Splashed and got mixed with the sky,
A bit of color from the ripe mango was shining there,
The way the children start dancing seeing a rainbow
And from their milky chic there spreads a rosy glow
Very fondly very gently.
There was a windy dance in the spreads of Gulmohor
The branches are all red and heavy with bunch of flowers;
In the pond many lively Ruhi were floating together,
Was there a golden color around their egg-filled belly?
Why then the world became so lovely and giggling alone
Like the garden full of rose from the land of Iran
In this fading away evening!
And I was troubled to imagine the true color
Of the fading away life and of death;
Would it be colorless Grey, still fading and fading..
I failed to understand.
