Reachin' In

by Avrilene La Beth   Jun 1, 2011

I'm imprisoned for my life

I reach for all I can

The opportunity is as small as the tip of a knife

Imprisoned in the virtual world behind bars

Reachin' for reality

Hoping for the chance to see the stars

It's hard to cry

When your eyes are buttons

All plastic and virtual no lie

Having stitched cloth for skin

Cotton for a body

A disaster my life has been

So I'm reachin' in

For the life I deeply desire

A whole new world within

To feel pain and see blood

Know how to love

Have the chance to walk on dry mud

How do the humans sleep?

I just wanna know how it feels

One taste that I could keep

What color their eyes are

Beautiful as I hear and imagine

The chances are so far

The crave is so deep

I'm going to escape

Just one big leap

Here I go without a stop

The alarms are at burst

Can imagine for once being on top

Runnin' through the dark halls

Lights are flickering

En caving walls

This is it

The door is wide open

I'm out and lit

As bright it is

It's so amazing and right

Lovely it tis

My skin is of tint and soft texture

My eyes not buttons

My body of strength

I can feel the rushing wind

See the beautiful humans

This may be the perfect end

It's all as I've hoped for

There's nothing i could want more

So you just keep reachin' in

I love my new life

Look how it's going to begin
